If the existing opening and unit are staying in place, start with the relevant repair page. For a new or replacement unit, use the installation or replacement page. Hardware-only work such as handles or curtain rods has dedicated pages so it does not get mixed into a full door or window replacement request.
What to Send
Useful information includes photos from both sides where practical, approximate opening dimensions, how the door or window currently operates, visible damage, and the make or model of a replacement product if it has already been selected. For exterior openings, mention water, draft or weather-exposure concerns when relevant.
